Marc Leizman is a managing director for Houlihan Smith & Company, Inc.
He is the founder and President of Grenway Capital Corporation, which he established in 1993. Mr. Leizman was Senior Vice President for True North Advisors, LLC, a company formed in alliance with the recently deceased Wal-Mart director John Walton. Mr. Leizman has also held senior positions with Stifel, Nicolaus & Company and EVEREN Securities, Inc. He had earlier experience with Robinson Ventures, Waste-Quip, Citicorp's Leveraged Capital Group and McDonald & Company Securities.
For the past 23 years, Mr. Leizman has been active in mergers and acquisitions, financing businesses, private equity, turnaround management and other corporate finance related initiatives. He has performed interim general manger and CFO roles for clients. During his career he has completed over 50 transactions.
Mr. Leizman has diverse experience in real estate through public and private financings and other advisory projects. He recently provided advisory services for Investors Mortgage Holdings, a provider of short-term real estate lending capital. Mr. Leizman has also worked with a residential home builder, REITs, a hotel management group and multi-location retail operations.
Mr. Leizman participated in a group that acquired select assets of Foremost Manufacturing from a financial institution through a foreclosure in 1993. He later had direct operating and P&L responsibility for this operation. He also provided turnaround consulting to other clients including a food manufacturer and a steel service center.
Mr. Leizman received an MBA from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University with concentrations in Finance, Accounting and Management Policy. Mr. Leizman earned a BA in Economics from Northwestern University.
