Joseph Lunkes is an investment banker and Senior Managing Director of Houlihan Smith & Company. With over 20 years of middle-market M&A and investment banking experience Mr. Lunkes has managed numerous buy and sell-side M&A mandates, public and private debt placements, and equity capital offerings. Mr. Lunkes was a Senior Vice President of EVEREN Securities, Inc. (formerly Kemper Securities, Inc.) where he co-founded and managed the firms’ Mergers & Acquisition Group. He has held Managing Director and Vice President positions in the investment banking departments of Geneva Capital Markets, Dresner Investment Services and RSM EquiCo.

Mr. Lunkes began his career as an auditor with Price Waterhouse &Co. After receiving his MBA, Mr. Lunkes began his banking career with Continental Illinois National Bank & Trust Company in Chicago.

Mr. Lunkes received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Loyola University in Chicago and a master's degree in business administration from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He earned his CPA certificate and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
