Mary Kate Cressy is a Vice President at Houlihan Smith & Company, Inc. co-leading the Corporate Development Group in the New York office. Ms. Cressy works with the Capital Markets and Valuation & Financial Opinion Services groups to provide financial opinions, valuations, merger & acquisition advisory, and capital restructuring services for its clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Cressy attained valuable investment banking experience at Crowe Capital Markets LLC, providing financial services in mergers and acquisitions, corporate divestitures, and financial advisory to privately and publicly held companies. Ms. Cressy has worked extensively on buy and sell-side M&A engagements, representing clients across a broad range of industries. Previously, she worked for Crowe Chizek and Company LLP as an auditor and M&A transaction specialist, gaining significant accounting and due diligence experience.
Ms. Cressy is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She is credentialed through the AICPA as "Accredited in Business Valuation" (ABV). She is a FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 registered representative.
Ms. Cressy is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Managed Funds Association and 100 Women in Hedge Funds. Ms. Cressy also serves on the New Leadership Council for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York. Ms. Cressy earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Accountancy and Entrepreneurship, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Dayton.
