Laurence Flora is a Director with Houlihan Smith & Company, Inc. and advises the firm’s middle market clients on Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions transactions.
Prior to joining Houlihan Smith, Mr. Flora held executive business development positions with McDonnell Douglas and AO Smith Corporations providing the full spectrum of IT and ATM/POS services to Fortune 100 clients including Abbott Labs, AON Ins, Chicago Title, CNA, Comdisco, Diebold, IBM, Illinois Bell, GE Capital, JJ Donnelley, IBM, Illinois Tool Works, Moore Business Forms, Michigan National Bank, Motorola, NCR, NEXTEL, Oldsmobile, Owens Illinois, Sears and United Air Lines among others.
Mr. Flora also founded, built and sold Resource One, a boutique IT consulting services firm specializing in fault tolerant IT systems technology for the financial services industry. Technologies employed included ERP/CRM and EFT/POS implementations for the financial services, eCommerce/retail and manufacturing/distribution marketplaces. Mr. Flora has also served as a turnaround specialist for small cap companies including being engaged post-petition to turnaround a publicly traded OTC Chapter 11 situation.
Mr. Flora’s international experience includes providing IT services/solutions in Europe, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore and other Pacific Rim locations. Mr. Flora is a graduate of Case Institute of Technology [now Case Western Reserve University] with a degree in Management Science.
